Setting off for Desaru

Super looked forward to this trip to get a break off work. Happy that Sat is finally after a bad week at work. But reporting time was way too early... We had to be at Golden Mile Complex at 6am to check-in and the bus left at 6.30am. Photo of a sunrise taken on the way to the Tuas checkpoint.

We stopped by at Queen Park coffee shop for breakfast and I ate my yummy porridge. Ravenous after waking up so early and after all the hassle to reach the coffee shop. After breakfast, we took a 45min bus ride to Jusco.

Jusco is a Japanese shopping centre and we visited the Tebrau City one which is newly opened. It is very big and built like a shopping mall in the US. Beside Jusco, there is even an amusement park with ferris wheel and roller coaster. We went into the Jusco area for some shopping, but we found the items a little over-priced. A shirt for RM69 which costs even more than in Singapore. We ventured out into the centre section and found many more shops. 3rd floor is mainly made up of restaurants and Jusco's third level. There were many more interesting shops on the 2nd floor instead. I would recommend to go to "The Reject Shop" which is almost at the end of the 2nd floor. It is very factory outlet like and there is a wide range of tees, blouses, slacks, jeans and childrens' clothing. After we found the wide range of clothing, we were suddenly caught in the mad rush to try out the clothes in only 20mins. I finally managed to pick out 3 blouses and Staci took 6 pairs of slacks. Very good buy. We managed to finish everything, then even grabbed another 2 bags, before rushing back to the bus at exactly our assembly time of 11am.
