After the temple, we drove to the Ostrich farm which is just only 3 minutes away. This ostrich farm is owned by a Singaporean Colin, who used to be an pilot. So now retired, he opened this ostrich farm in Desaru as a post-retirement job. The farm is huge and there are 300 ostriches living there now. The older ostriches are kept in a larger area and the younger ones are kept in smaller paddocks in the viewing/demo area for us to see.
I think ostriches are very scary. Some are very fierce and they look at you with their humongus eyes. There is 1 particular ostrich that was in a bad mood and we went to try to take pictures with it, it would swivel around on his long neck and look at us with his beak open. The ostrich even tried to go and peck some of the pple. But I think the ostrich was sensitive to blue color, as it only attacked those wearing blue (including me) and those with blue handbags.
Comparing the 2 faces of the ostriches that I took, the one in the foreground, with the side view... shows the ostrich as a very sharp animal and its eyes seem to be boring into you. And its mouth is open, ready to bite anything that comes near. So scary... But... I can't say the same for the ostrich in the back ground. Looking at the ostrich from its front... eh... I think it looks like a duck and... it also looks like a total joke.
