This HK Disneyland is actually much smaller than the other Disneylands that I have been. Smaller than the Tokyo one, LA one and of course the Disney World in Florida. If we compare the number of attractions in HK vs Tokyo, HK is about 1/3 of Tokyo. We reached about 11am on Saturday, and we finished everything that we could/want to do by 3pm, lunch time inclusive. The rest of the time was just strolling through the place, munching on snacks and shopping. This is a first time for me to finish so early, because in Tokyo and LA, we had to strategically plan what we want to do, else we wouldnt have time for our rides at all.
The thing we sat was Space Mountain. Ooh, this is still good. Space Mountain used to be my number 1 roller coaster until I sat on the one in Hakkejima Sea Paradise in Yokohama, Japan. Dennis and I got the front seats. It was darker and faster than the Tokyo one. Wow~ it was great feeling, havent been on a roller coaster for the past 1 year or so. Then we went on Buzz Light Years, and I managed to get a score of 30,000. Haha~ There was a new ride... Autopia... but we gave that up. It was too hot to ride in the cars and drive around the track.
This was taken at the entrance. First time I managed to get such a nice, no-pple-in-it shot of the entrance.
Winnie The Pooh was a disappointment. If you have sat on the one in Tokyo, you will understand what I am trying to say. This one just ran around rails, like the normal rides in FantasyLand in Tokyo and LA, like SnowWhite, Alice in Wonderland etc. The Pooh ride in Tokyo was much better. We sat in pots of honey and we really 'bounced' around as we went through the attraction.
One thing nice was the Live Shows. We watched about 3 of them and I totally loved them, especially "The Festival of the Lion King". I took some videos and will upload them to youtube.com later. Here is a pic taken during "The Golden Mickey Awards Show". Its styled like the Academy Awards, and they acted out the different scenes in the various Disney productions like Lilo and Stitch, Beauty and the Beast (the effects for this was great!), The Jungle Boy (the hunk who played Mowli had a great body!!!), etc. You can even Mulan on the left in the pic below.
